Any guesses?

Any guesses as to what this is in the middle of the creek? I’m trying to get better at understanding the sonar.

Brush pile or reminants of small tree with small bait holding tight would be my guess,might be wrong though:face_with_head_bandage:could be a bait ball
if it moves from spot.

I should have said this is saltwater. A tree is really unlikely.

Weren’t you tempted to cast net it

13ft??? I can barely get a mullet in 2 inches! #128533;

might even be a cluster of debris from storms…

Well if you look at the extra hard return below the marking, its possibly an old pillar or post with live growth and bait or fish on it. I’m not familiar with the way your model shows things though. Did you throw a few cast, what happened?

Thank you! I am trying to learn if this is something I shroud stop and throw at. I guess there is only one way to learn…stop and cast, and if I don’t get anything throw the cast net.

Snorkle

Yea ; a cast net throw could well be very expensive way to find out:frowning_face:
