planning a week at Santee State Park the first week of June and in addition to my preference, bass fishing, I want to hopefully be able to have my wife catch a decent catfish or two. Is there any chance there are still some herring around at the tailrace. I’ve got Monday off and could go up there with some sabiki rigs if there’s a chance to get some to freeze for later. Shoulda done it months ago but the trip is a last minute decision.
I’ve caught them at various places all over the lakes during the summer, so they should still be around.
