Hey guys, I haven’t been able to go in several weeks because of a money shortage. Things are getting better now and I am going in the morning out of Jakes…I am also going at least one more time on Friday morning. Is there anyone who can provide me any info? I know I have seen tons of boats between the islands and the dam fishing the river and the deep pockets near our cove at Jakes. What I dont know is if its been better to anchor or drift deep, or what depth. Also has anyone had hits on top at all…I’m figureing with the heat I need to look 100+ deep. Anyhow hope some of you will be willing to share a little insight…God Bless,

Coach, I went this morning and had 5 fish and boat back on the trailer by 8:15am. Go out of Jakes Cove to first 100’ water you come to and fish 60’ to 90’ slow drift. There were a lot of boats between the towers and the spillway. Get bait down through that 84* water fast. I’ll be there Tuesday with a friend.
Thanks you should see James, young guy that works at Lake World, and me out there between 5-9 depending on how fast we get our limit. I’m excited about getting back out there after not being able to go for a few weeks. Any other info folks might have I’d love to hear it. God Bless,

I went this morning with James. We had our limit by 8:30am. Heres the thing that bothers me though. About 7am James and I were picking up some nice fish drifting between Goat and Spence. We made the same drift about 5 times…then so yo yo pulls up on a Pontoon. He must think hes a guide but I dont care who he is. This guy drops anchor right were we keep drifting that starts pitching a fit about us drifting on top of him. I dont mind helping folks find fish, but this was plain being a jerk. He was on a Pontoon and had long hair pulled into a poney tail. If any of you know him let him know I hope he had a great day droping in on us like that. I hope he didn’t catch a darn thing. James and I didn’t even have the depth finder working and had our limit and were back at Lake World by 8:30am. Anyhow thanks for the advice guys and hope to see you out there…just not with Billy Ray Jack —. God Bless,

Coach, you did better than we did. Only 1 fish in the same spot I caught a limit yesterday. Marked tons on fish, but no takers. Guides had trouble down where we were also. maybe we should have moved up the lake like y’all did. Oh well, it was a pretty sun rise. If you get bait at lake World, do you back up beside the building. I always go on up to Better Bait. It is always good to have a backup.
I’m confused! I buy bait every weekend at the dam. I normally get it from Richard but if he is has a boat pulled up I will get it from the other gentleman that is parked next to them(I thought this was Better Bait). The Better bait guy has told me that they are friendly competitiers and they always seem to be talking and cutting up with each other.(I always bribe Richard for fishing info with a Cigar). Coach B is this the same guy you are talking about?
guess what coach b your an asshole if I must say so myself. Your just a ****'n trouble maker. You spend way too much time on the internet. Dont you have anything better to do than bad mouth david on the internet. why don’t you go confront him if you have a problem instead of hiding your face on the internet and bad mouth him. What kind of boat do you fish out of. This could get very interesting…I think I can find out who you are from striper fishing.com…
Paul your right and I apologize for my comments and as you can see they have been deleted. I should not have said the things I did true or not. David has always been nice to me and offered to sale me bait. However I have been loyal to Lake World for years and always will be. I shot my mouth off and I’ll be man enough to admit it, and make a public apology here before you all. I’m sure I am not the first to have said something he regreted. Paul I’m not on striper fishing.com much so it will be of no help to you. Normally I handel things better but I felt that what happened the other day was uncalled for. David however has always been good to me and many others. I do wish Better Bait the best, and give my sincer apology. I wasn’t intending to cause trouble, but after reading what I had written I agree I was wrong to do so. If there are those of you still angry with me over that then I hope you find a way to move on, and realize we all make mistakes. It takes a man to admit when he is wrong and what I am trying to do. Also to answer Retiredgofast…David is a good guy who does sale bait beside Richard at the Dam…and Richard and he get along very well. I’m sure after this…and paul…while I dont have a problem with David that he will have a problem with me and thats just a bridge I’ll have to cross. All I can do now is say I am sorry for my misguided remarks. I made a mistake and will pay what cost are needed. God Bless, Coach B a man who made a mistaken remark.

Both Richard and DAvid have very nice to me and are always willing to give much needed advice to a rookie like me. A couple of weeks ago I was pulling up to get bait and Richard was out. He yelled at David and asked him to get me some herring. David went over to his hop and picked up some more herring and brought it out to me at Jakes.
Hey Guys. Newbie here, to the board and sort of to stipers on LM.
How far down were you guys going between Spence and Goat? We have been trying w/ herring around 60-80 feet around the river bed, just off the towers, to no avail.
Going to try again tonite. Wish us luck…sorry Coach, we will be on a pontoon, but I can promise you we weren’t the schleps out there giving you a hard time.
