This coming Saturday 6/9 I’ll be headed to Devil’s Track Lake, Minnesota to spend a week in god’s country. Never caught a walley or northern pike before so I thought I’d give them a try along with smallies and trout. Anyone ever been to the northeastern part of Minnesota to fish/hike? Any advise/tips? Thanks
OH…and the high temps for the week are supposed to be in the upper 60’s with lows in the upper 50’s

Welp, I’m back. Leeches, night crawlers, jointed rapalas, tube baits, jerk baits, top water, buzz baits, rooster tails, panther martins…didn’t matter. If you threw it out there something was going to eat it. smallest small mouth of the week was 3 maybe 3.5 lbs. Largest northern was 36 inches largest walley was 23 inches. GREAT fishing for sure. My wrist, arm and shoulder hurt every day by the end of the day. If you like catching…put Northern Minnesota on your bucket list. If you go to Devil’s Track lake in Grand Marais, MN I can tell you exactly where to go.
