Any opinions on Malibu X-factor vs. other kayaks?

I’m getting ready to place the order for three Malibu Mini-X’s (for my wife and kids) and will be ordering a larger kayak for me.

I’ve narrowed down the list to:

Malibu X-Factor, Ocean Prowler Big Game, or Cobra Fish-n-Dive

I’ve picked these based on my size ('5 9" and 220+ lbs)

Does anyone have any recommendations on which kayak they like better?

Thanks!

Can’t speak to the others, but my Big Game is all the yak you’d want.

Political Correctness: A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end!

before yo ubuy, go to Time Out and try the new Wilderness Systems Ride 135. Its wide, and has a unique hull that makes it a dream to paddle for a boat of that width. By the way, I am pushing 280 and i paddle a Tarpon 120 and 160i.

Kayak Fishing for fun

Any other opinions?

Thanks!

I also like the Ride. It is priced about the same or lower than the others and I was very pleased with the performance. Time out rents them and will take the rental off the purchase if you decide to buy.

I don’t think you can go totally wrong with any of the other three either. They all seem to be good models with different advantages. I did see a piture of a big guy in a Cobra and it seemed to sit very low in the water. Are you buying locally or through mail order?
