You are probably aware that Moseley’s Jewelry has donated a 1st Place Captain’s watch for the DNR Benefit tournament each of the last four year’s. If my records are correct - three of those four year’s the watch was won by a MSC member. They have also donated $100 per year in addition to the watches.
I am planning a striper trip for John & Jeremy Moseley to show my appreciation to them. Since they work on Saturday’s and are active in Church - it is difficult to get them out on the water on a weekend. As it turns out - our schedules worked out so that I can take them out next Monday - August 5th. It is around the new moon, so I figure the AM bite should be good.
John and Jeremy grew up on Murray - mostly fishing for largemouth and bream - and have never caught a striper.
I REALLY want to show them a good time - and supply them with a nice bunch of fish to fry. I have given them striper fillets in year’s past - but want to give them a chance to fight some of the fish they help the DNR to produce.
I welcome any suggestions from Club members on productive Down Rod spots. I have a couple of spots in the Big Pool I plan on fishing - but would like a couple more as back-ups for these guys. Any suggestions on good spots would be much appreciated - and will NOT leave my lips.
Also, if anyone will be out on Monday and wants to “tag team” that would also be appreciated.
