</font id=“quote”></blockquote id=“quote”>Maybe you can start a new thread with these pictures and we can have a ‘home-tied’ fly thread. Especially now that we will be moving into the slower fishing times or should I say, the higher fly tying times of winter. I’m no “purist” when it comes to flies. Actually, I’m no purist when it comes to anything.

</font id=“quote”></blockquote id=“quote”>Born on the peninsula and yep, we fish 360 days here. I’m pretty sure that this site will slow down pretty soon with salt water fly fishing stories and am willing to bet you a lite beer if it doesn’t. But if I win, you owe me a shot of Irish whisky.

Maybe that’s it. I drink more whisky when it’s colder and tie more when I drink.

Here’s the link to the “fly” Moons was talking about. Sure looks like cheating to me, but I betcha it works. Gummi minnow is a great pattern but pain to cast

</font id=“quote”></blockquote id=“quote”> I know that I said, “I am no purist” when it comes to flies but, where is the tying part of this “fly”? Oh, you tie it to the leader.

that one would qualify ans chuck and cuck.
I know a guide that buries fish bites in some of his flies to help customers catch fish.
