Depends kinda on what your expectations are. Charleston doesn’t have a true headboat at the moment closest (and by far a better experience) would be the Teaser II with Capt Mark Brown. He’s a member on here btw. I will say if you decide to go up to Little River/Calabash to go out on a headboat don’t do a half day unless you wanna play with ringtails and 8" black bass.
-Wishes Charlotte was 3 hours closer to the ocean…-
Meant to add I’ve been out of the Hurricane Fleet 12hr trip out of Calabash numerous times and have always caught decent fish.

i hear ya man. i was considering a 12 hr all day trip.
the whole reason i want to do this is that it might be me and 1 buddy. we can’t exactly fork out $500 each to go offshore you know?
thanks for the opinion
I miss the thunderstar…used to venture out on the 24hr trips and always did well…snapper (before there wasn’t any) and grouper!
I love to party and I have a boat…

let’s do it man!
Went on Head boat on Jul 22 11, out of Murrells Inlet Cpt Dick’s, $90.00, 11 hours, a lot of fish were caught of diff variety. I did better than the last time that I went out on the Thunderstar before it went away. 11 hour trips sre only on fridays check out the web site. They even offer 24 hour trip once a month, catch double your limits. hope this helps. The friday that i went plenty of room not jam packed. hope this helps
Check out New Inlet Princess in Murrells Inlet. Capt Robert is a great bottom fisherman. I think they have a FB page and his CF name is NIP.
Happy, we would love for you to celebrate you bday with us. We will be running the gulfstream trip on saturdays in sept. Pick a pretty weekend and come see us. If anybody is thinking about the overnight trip make a reservation way ahead. We only carry 50 people on that trip so it is limited space.
