I am watching Friday 5/24. From what I see it show 2.5-3 at seven seconds. 10-14knt winds. Right now.
fishweather was showing 2’ @ 7seconds and reefcast was similar but maybe 6 seconds. sailflow is now showing 3’ though.

Watch winds more than swell height. I see winds 15 building to 20. You’ll be wishing you didn’t go if that turns out to be the case. We came in on a 15-20 SW winds last Thursday and it was the wettest, nastiest ride you could imagine. Purely miserable. Not a bunch of heavy banging but the spray was miserable.

Florida Boy, same here. Spent the day at the stream in lake like conditions and the ride back with that wind was the bumpiest and wettest in a long time…

Hey hammered. Sorry. We didn’t make it to charleseton 60. Stopped at 4ki on the way… picked up a couple small bsb’s And one toad fish. One of our crew was getting sea sick so we headed back inshore. Picked up one nice flounder inshore. It definitely was not comfortable offshore. I did not feel sick, but was glad to hit the river. I think I’ll keep my offshore days to 1’ seas with long periods

So I was right huh? Stop looking at the swell forecast. Look at the winds. 4’ by 6 seconds is nothing if there is 0-5mph winds. If it says it’s going to be blowing more than 10 in Charleston, save the gas unless you like an ass beating. Some boys are hardcore and don’t mind. I got better things to do with my time when it’s windy!

We fished. Went about to about 800 ft and then came back in to 350 ft. We were in a 31 ft Contender. Yeah it was a little rough and the weeds were scattered but not bad at all. We had a girl with us who had never been offshore and she did fine.
