I’m interested on doing some freshwater fishin by kayak. But I live on James island so don’t get up there a lot. Was wondering if people would look at possible launch points that I’m seeing and lookin at the water and probability of partkin a truck and it being safe there…
Pomflant access road, has a bridge on it that creek looks awesome! Bushy park road, about halfway between the ramp and cypress gardens there’s an impoundment that that looks like I could launch at…
</div id=“left”> jk google maps looks like there’s a locked fence.
Pulaski mobile home park, looks like it has a little dock or somethin that backs into a good creek. How sketchy is that area? You turn off state road S-8-29 onto Boone rd then onto Pulaski road and then its back there. If anybody passsmes these areas often and doesmt mind checking for me I would highly appreciate it!

The GCR is a lot of water to fish especially around the ramp, its all open. Is it ok to keep fish from.there?
On the GCR I could possibly put in at these places
The bridge on state rd s-8-43 where it turns into old state road.
Or the landing of course but alot of open water
Looking on maps, it looks like there is a nice put-in spot at 42 basilica avenue. That’s the neighborhood behind north 52 square shopping center on rivers ave.
Or the bridge at 1800 eagle landing Blvd. Right behind rivers pt plaza by Northwoods.
Just if somebody could swing by and see if it looks easy for me slide a kayak in at it would he awesome!

Just put in at the landing. There is no parking on NAD bridge, and don’t park your truck in that neighborhood. Why don’t you swing by and check everything out. I fish that place a couple times of week, and yes the fish is safe to eat. The next question is “do you want me to show you where to fish?”
Yakman the landing behind Trident is your best bet. There is plenty of parking. Please keep in mind there are plenty of Gators out there,at one time a couple big ones hung around the docking area.A couple years ago one snatched a boaters dog Best of luck.
Another place would be Bushy Park on the freshwater side.
Bushy Park Fresh water side is fantastic, a lot of great paddling and fishing, crappie, bass, assorted bream. Safe now from gators, but they are aplenty come summer, more curious than threatening, but are fiercely territorial and protective of their nest. GCR great spot as well…
