Anybody ever use this technique on Murray? Looks like down rod fishing with artificials. Here are a couple videos of it.

I used that technique, by accident years ago, when I left a plastic worm casted out while going swimming. Tied the rod to a tree. Came back from swimming and had to wind in a nice bass!
Also, check out drop shotting. Generally speaking it will produce a lot of fish as well. It works with cut bait as well as artificials. Only problem is you need to be on the fish for either technique to be effective.
