Hello all, its me again. I should be home at the beginning of july and want to explore the kayak fishing thing. I am being drawn to the solitude thing more and more and want to give it a shot. Does anyone by chance have a “beater” yak that they could depart with for a reasonable price? I am looking for a sit-in type vs. the sit-on-top due to my goofy a$$. I am 6’3 and about 245, so i think i would be better off “in” it and not “on” it…
the first couple of experiences should be hilarious… thanks in advance if you can help…

There are yaks that pop up on Craigslist all the time.

No there aren't, you buy them all :)

Go for the on top at first, a LOT more stable, no learning to roll or wet exit and it will not fill up with water. I am 6’1" it is tough to find a sit in that will feel right, especially for a reasonable price.
Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught!

Im a big guy and have been in both…bought me a sit on. Alot easier for a big guy to get in and out of. Even had it out in some rough, rough surf just recently for fun and could easily get back on it in waist deep water when I got dumped. Probably impossible to do with a sit in as it will fill with water.
