Seems like it has been slow. I have not seen a good report from murray on here or any other site in a while. Even guys that usually do pretty good are not.

Been catching some stripers in the upper part of the lake. If birds are around, the stripers are too. Went last Saturday and it was fun to watch the armada tear off up and down the lake after the diving birds. We just moved around until we found some. Caught on herring and bucktails. Caught a nice catfish too.

Thanks, I am going out Saturday for the first time in three months. I was hoping to hear something positive. Of cours Saturday is the cold front with rain, figures.

murray haven’t been out.whipping post is working on his house he has his hands full.we are doing the roof for him.i plan on going out saturday myself come hel or highwater.even if i have to paddle.i’ll be putting in at big man’s and fishing that area and towards ramp 3.i have seen boats on the water every morning while going to work alot of them have been around blacks bridge.

sharky,i finally caught up with the guy about the whaler.he wants 2000.00.but,that is to include 3 20hp mercurys 2 of which are running.the 3rd needs a carburator-sp?sounds like a good deal.the boat is a 60s model, but looks great for its age.

im looking for a 9.9 or 9.8 evinrude or merc id you know anybody that has one.

when can i come striper fishing?

willy i had to replace the tranny in my truck $1275.i’ll check on the motor for you.i hope the stripers cooperate this weekend.i don’t think it’s been cold enough for the bite to pick up.i’ll let you know when they start hitting hard.thanks though.

Tom, have you got SHAKEY runnin’ again? My fishin’ partner, Elizabeth, is out of commision following shoulder surgery and I’m on kitchen and nurse duty. I hope that y’all do well Saturday. We’ll be back out as soon as we can.

I am heading out with phishinphan in his boat. The shakey project keeps growing. Figured out the coupler went because of the transom being soft. I bought two aluminum plate to rig it. After pulling the motor, out drive and gimbal I cut the aluminum. The wood was very rotten along the bottom. So thru bolted the aluminum and I started drilling and digging out the rot. I ordered epoxy to pour next weekend or whenever the temp is right. Wonder what will be next?

What bottom depth ?

A few in 20’-25’. Several were pushing bait into the shallows and we would cast artificials to them.

Thanks smoakin…I guess I will try to paddle in 20-30 ft water tommorrow …I’ll post if I do any good
