Anyone Downrigger Trolling Yet?

Has anyone started downrigger trolling yet? Care to share your experiences and or tips from this year?

You might want to ask your question on the striper fishing forum. Several guys over there do downriggers a good bit. I don’t know of too many MSC guys that use them on a regular basis. I have them, but haven’t used them in years. Thought about selling them, but afterwards I would decide I need them:)

I pulled them out a couple weeks ago. I only use them at night. Had 1 fish one night and 2 another. Nothing to write home about. Tim had about the samething going on in his boat with the downriggers.

I've always assumed this was THE place when it came to Lake Murray striper fishing advice. Never even knew there was another forum on CharlestonFishing devoted to stripers. Thanks for the input.

I post on both; however, there is more fishing discussion over on that forum. We seem to use this site more for club business than fishing reports. Nothing wrong with that. There’s a place for everything, and we do get and receive occasional reports on this board.
