Even with as good as it sounds like pulling live bait lately has been, I think I’m going to try some cut bait this week fishing with my grandson and friend while on spring break, since they want to catch cats too. Anyone had any luck, or even tried, lately? Seems like it should be about time.
Did make it out yesterday am and got 4 good fish in the first 1.5 hrs or so then cut off for me. Saw guys pulling bait still getting them though. All caught shallow throwing a 6" Sluggo.
Cut bait will produce great right now! SHALLOW! I am a live bait guy but from what I am seeing on the depth finder, cutbait will be a blast. Tim holler at me if u need a couple points that are producing well.
Did some meat fishing sat. Left them biting after we ran out of bait both big and small. Big fish of the day was a little over 13. Ocean run herring bite is still super strong. Went through almost 2dz of them. Very few shorts through out the day.

Lol…funny thing is twice u have went with me just hasn’t been the greatest days to go. Blue bird skys and so forth. One of these days we will get on them solid.
