Anyone fishing tomorrow morning?

Going to be out there in the morning or afternoon. Heck Maybe both times. Trying to get my Dad to go in the morning, and the baby girl and boy (10yr old and 8yr old) in the afternoon.

How has fishing been through the week? Think the fish are still in the mid lake around the 7, 8 (Beaverdam Creek) 9 (Midway Islands), or 24 (Bear Creek) numbers on the club map?

I have not fished since last Sat but I would say the fish are in about the same places, that is if the lake does not turn over. The way things are looking it it may turn over any day. It looks like i will be stuck at work the next week or so trying to raise enough money to buy me a new i-pilot for the boat.

I fished Tuesday right in front in front of bear and caught 3 on topwater and marked a pile of fish.

With the Gcocks playing early tomorrow, I’ll head out Sunday with metal whenever I decide to roll out of bed and go. Not going to go early, unless I happen to wake up and am unable to get back asleep. It’s been a good but hectic couple of weeks at work.

I’ll be out in the AM. Feel free to call me 727-9368. I marked a few fish in C3 this afternoon. I’ll probably head up to #7.

Did you get out yesterday afternoon? If you did AND you were fishing #7 from 3:30 - till who knows when they turned off cause we left at 5:30 … Then you would have been privy to a quarter mile of topwater action … We had the entire school to ourselves for almost an hour and a half … We slow trolled along with the school enjoying 15-20 minute bursts of controlled chaos followed by 5-7 minutes of “holy crap did you just see that” … At least half a dozen times the school came up right under our boat with topwater in any direction you wanted to cast … Even dropped some remaining herring on down rods for the 7 year old to fish (7 year olds with 6" pencil poppers are a rather dangerous thing when casting) during the “down” times …

There were a lot of shortys but there were also a lot that were bigger … You would think that we would have hooked up more than we did but given the current “limits” it’s probably better that we didn’t …

Ended up with 7 Striper from 22" to 27" … 2 Shorts that we kept because they were gut hooked (earlier in the day around #24) … A 5lbs Largemouth bass at #25 (my 16 year old Daughter LOVED catching that one in full view of 3 bass guys fishing the tournament over the weekend in the same area they cleared out if only minutes before she caught it) … and last but not least a 14lbs Blue Catfish at #25

We got a late start (as usual) getting on the water around 10:30 … Day was looking really slow (only having the 2 shorts, the Largemouth Bass, and the Blue Cat) and reports from others were echoing what I saw in my fish box … We were actually getting ready to call it a day when I decided to cruise by #7 on the “chance” of seeing something deep when my a Wife spotted a single bird … yeah, ONE bird … Popping the water in the middle of the grid … As we pull up to “investigate” all heck started breaking loose … The rest is detailed above …

All in all it was an okay day (cause ANY day on the water is a good day) that - by chance and my Wife’s great ey
