Anyone have any recent reports for the upper wando? Mt Pleasant, Paradise Island area. I was planning on fishing a couple of days next week.
Haven’t yet, but I do like that area this time of the year.
Random question, how far is that area from Remley’s?

fished the last two weekends up the wando zero fish, water is very clear.
Local Boy, Just having fun.
No fish there stay home
Nope. Nothing but loud birds and alligators.
No matter how much it hurts, how dark it gets, or how far you fall…you are never out of the fight.
Fished north of 41 last weekend. First time fishing up there. Bottom of outgoing tide. Found a creek and started working it. 2 reds and 2 trout.
All on artificial.
Water was pretty clear.
Lots of other boats out there.
With the bridge run this weekend, Remleys has got to be a madhouse.
I put in at Paradise Island March 23rd I think it was and had very little knowledge of the area but found some oyster beds and stuck with it. Absolutely no bites on my artificials so I caught some mullet and decided to try some docks. Absolutely nothing again. Water was extremely clear and could probably see down 5-6 feet easily. I’m going to stick to my Isle of Palms spots I think…
Dropped in at Paradise island on Sunday April 9th.
What a mess. Guy starts his outboard in the parking lot. let it run for several minutes while they walked around talking to each other trying to figure out how to get the boat in the water. Finally drop it in and the boat immediately beaches in the sand bar.
Next up was a double jet ski rig, guy was selling so full safety and operation brief while on the ramp, then after moving the tow vehicle they talk for a few more minutes. Eventually we just started backing down. They finally moved. Took us half an hour to launch. Sitting at the ramp watching the tide disappear really sucks.
Fished the bottom of outgoing through the first 3 hours of incoming tide.
Tried 5 different creeks, throwing plastics, working the edges.
5 trout 1 red.
Talked to 3 other boats, they also we pulling little to nothing. A kayaker said he could see the reds but they weren’t biting. He had 1 flounder in 5 hours.
I’m sure there are fish there, just couldn’t get a pattern.
Beautiful area, but not worth the drive if I cant slay them.
Fished the Wando 4 times in my life and maybe 10 fish total.
Back to the muddy Cooper with me, ya’ll can keep the Wando, for now.
Yeah that warming em up in the parking lot is a protip
I’ve seen some real special people at the boat ramp. I plan on fishing Thursday and Friday. I’ll post a report later in the week. I live in Mt P off 41 about 15 minutes from the landing. So it’s the normally my fishing grounds.

Yeah for sure, you start it in the parking lot to warm up the water pump so the engine isn’t shocked by the cold water. This is especially helpful in the winter.
haha love the boat tips guys. I’m sure they are helpful for those that wouldn’t know better
Fished paradise Island 5/18 in morning. Top water bite was hot for trout in morning as tide was going out. As low tide progressed I turned my attention to reds. Caught 4 on blue crab chunks, and 2 on cut mullet. Had 4 break me off. I wash fishing with 20lb power pro, and 20lb leader.
Trout we caught on points, creek mouths, and grass edges with current. Reds were caught in 1-5 ft of water fishing around docks, and smaller creeks draining into main river. All trout were smaller, all reds were over slot.
