Plan to go lunker hunting tomorrow from 9-1 or so. Hoping the secret bait produces. 4 new sets of trophy ridges and 2 new planer floats are dying to do damage!
It’s not a secret cuz others already know my intentions, but to answer your question Jason, if it produces it’ll continue being labeled as the secret bait.
However, a fisherman with the talent of Well Hung needs no help! I’m just trying to purchase enough boards and rod holders to look like the well hung going across the lake. Talking about covering water!!!
I got a feeling that secret bait is a fish that comes from the ocean and runs up the rivers every spring. Harder to keep alive than there landlocked kin.

The secret bait will not be a Murraymaker special. If there are fish caught worth taking pictures of, I’ll post tomorrow afternoon. We are on a short window as I’m taking the bride with me and gotta have her home to get the kiddos off the bus by 2:30. Can’t get on the water til after taking them to school, still need to stop by bait store (for non secret bait) launch boat, make a stop then run bout 10 miles to the fishing grounds. I’ll be lucky to have lines in the water by 9 but hoping for the best. Normally I skunk out if I don’t have someone hold my hand.

Just to clarify, the WHFT pulls 12-16 poles all the time. Except during DR season, when we only use 6-8. I think this is an average spread at best. We would pull 20 but we’ve ran out of places to put them. Our theory is the more baits in the water, the more opportunity for success!!
Now back to this super duper special secret bait you’re using… I’m going to the Hill tomorrow if you want to try them on a different body of water. Them Murray fish are picky sometimes!!
