Anyone have a sailing yak?

Anyone have a sail yak? I do. A hobie adventurer. I don’t have the amas though. Reason I’m asking, is it would be cool and safer to sail with some friend/s.

Henry

I did Sunday morning

But not anymore I’m guessing? I’m looking for people to go sailing with, it would be nice to have company as well as safer.

Did speak with a friend who got5 a hobie. Hopefully, sometime in the future, he will decide to get a sail.

I have a tandem Hobie (outfitter maybe?)with a sail. Not the adventure island with the huge sail and outriggers.
I absolutely love it. I use the sail a ton. I even rigged up a micro-cleat to for my lines. It definitely isn’t a high performance sailer, but I can tack a good 10-15 degrees into the wind.

Want to go sailing sometime? I’d like to troll when I sail if possible.

I’d love to, but my time is pretty limited these days (2 small kids). Where do you typically troll? Harbor? Ocean? I’ve thought about trolling during king mackeral season just past the breakers, but never purchased the rigging.

I only went once, because my friends with whom I fish don’t have sails. I went to remley’s and sailed across the river. I’d be willing to try either harbor or ocean. I’d love to troll during king mackeral season just past the breakers, when do you want to go? The sail rig used can be had for around $200.00. Are you in Charleston?

I’m wondering if these would work well?
