Is anyone heading offshore friday? the weather is looking nice, other than some wind. I’m hoping to find someone that is heading out around the same time i am so that I know I’m not the only boat out there.
Right now looks like it’s shaping up to be a “stay on the hill” weekend for me. Couldn’t go Friday anyways. Sunday is shaping up to be okay but wind may be out of NE. Not big on fishing before a day of work either for me.

Thursday is the only mosquito fleet day this week. Sunday is a maybe but with it turning much colder next week I would assume some wind will be close by.

Thurs looks solid…love a NW wind. Trying to get a crew or buddy boat together out of edisto…

I think I am heading down to Florida to find some calmer seas. I wish i could get off Thursday and head out of Charleston.

Today was not as nice out there as forecasted … That w/nw wind blew pretty good all am before we decided on pulli the plug to head back towards shlloeer water. The Water temp had dropped about 3 degrees from a week and a half ago where we got in to the wahoo good.never got touched out there in about 200 ft. Water temp was right at 72. Saw 4 other boats out around us trolling… Ended up hitting up some reef about half way in and got in to a pack of really big AJ’s …at least we got to fight some fish before it was all said and done
^^ No doubt, it was rougher this morning than forecasted. We saw the sun come up at about 70’ of water.
The bite was hot this morning! We bottom fished some live bottom between 105 and 120’. Water temperature was cold, about 58*. We caught some of the biggest Vermillions and BSB’s that I’ve seen. 15-16" and fat!!! Brought a decent Grouper up, released to be fried at a later date. Around noon the bite just turned off. We couldn’t buy a bite after that. Run and gunned til around 2pm and headed to the hill. The ride back in was great. Ran 35mph the whole way in.
