Re read it without your cynicism. I was in the fact finding stage and there were multiple hits on the name. I deduced that “daddy”, if it was his daddy, was the one that owned the dealerships, not the son.
Now if you have an issue with the stereotypes of car salesmen or people with potentially rich “daddy’s”…that is on you. I have my own issues.

Then why bring up the guys daddy?
I hope you get some sort of resolution out of this. It sucks when someone steals your ideas. The name of my business is Adventure Outdoors, Several companies in this area have come along since I started mine with names like Charleston Outdoor Adventures, Lowcountry Outdoor Adventures and a few others. Like phin said, you know you have a good thing when others try to duplicate it.

Hope this resolves in your favor quickly. Just out of curiosity, how did you discover that he was stealing your idea? Do you have to constantly monitor the internet for knockoffs?

A friend saw an Instagram account so close in nature he sent me the link. It is SUCH an obvious knock-off, better yet clone of JigSkinz. They did not change 1 thing. That is what really bums me out. Even the name is right there…
Another unfortunate thing is they are out of Charleston and have ties very close to me here in Hilton Head.
That being said, I won’t get into the fine details of Patent Pending and Patent Law but they researched pretty well what they are doing and knowingly made every attempt to rip me off. No accident here.
Funny thing is, everyone I talk to says the same thing, " Jeff, yeah I know him…he doesn’t even fish." Not one of their pictures even shows a fish caught on their product.
I’m a big fan of karma and have worked very hard at this product and truly believe it will all work out as it should.

Sounds like the lawyer who advised him needs to have his a$$ removed for giving such “sound” advice. Good luck!
