He is a C of C grad from Charleston. He now works in Massachusetts. He has blatantly ripped off my product and I’d like to speak to him. I figured I’d be knocked off out of Asia maybe…not by a good ole boy. Any help would be appreciated.

Amazing how 2 folks with history in Hilton Head came up with the same idea.
I had a talk with Jeff this morning. He basically admitted to taking my product to a lawyer and asking if he could make it without getting sued. Is that what they teach at CofC?
I told him he got some bad info from his lawyer and he will be getting sued.

Not sure what your implying…actually I am sure.
Re read it without your cynicism. I was in the fact finding stage and there were multiple hits on the name. I deduced that “daddy”, if it was his daddy, was the one that owned the dealerships, not the son.
Now if you have an issue with the stereotypes of car salesmen or people with potentially rich “daddy’s”…that is on you. I have my own issues.

Courtland, hope you get it resolved. Too many people trying to make it off someone and try to take the easy route instead of working for it.
I wouldn’t say he made a mistake! He did after all ask a lawyer, so he knew he was doing something that was on the line. If everyone can infringe on a patent with no repercussions nothing you develop will be safe! You have to go after every infringement to send the message.
I guessed I asked for this. I appreciate the information and support you all have given. I knew that there would be a knock-off and he will not be the last.
I have the info I need and will make contact as needed through the proper channels.
I will state that he brought the product to an attorney to see if he could get around the patent and upon his guidance decided to try it. He made a grown up decision and will have to deal with grown up consequences.
Unfortunately , in the end it will be the lawyers that make out, not me or him…
