Good advice Great white,I did this before with a masonary fireplace with no problems,hoping it will be fine with a manufactured fireplace as well.Cost of running a heat pump these last couple of winters plus having unlimited free wood has me going back to a good ole freestanding woodstove.Plus I can take it out to the garage when it warms up.Rest of you guys carry on:smiley:( I do appreciate the advice).
