I am trying to decide between a bunch of different Yaks. Wilderness Tarpon 12 and the Heritage Refish seem to have the best write-ups for what I am looking for. Does anyone have experience with either of these boats?
I purchased a redfish last month. I am 6’8" and 235lbs. I had to pull the footpegs back which is a treat for me. I have alot of primitive camping and long trip experience in 17 ft sea kayaks and can tell you that for a 14ft, 32" wide boat this boat tracks quite well. I fly fish so there is alot of movement in my cast. The yak handles this quite well. I even have stood up, though not for long. As a fishing platform this got to be one of the best built. Say bye.
