Anyone trying tomorrow? 4/26/15

Alright… Lets address the elephant in the room. Who’s gonna try to make it out tomorrow morning for the Mahi? I’m seeing 4-5 ft forecasted from 20-60 miles with a West wind 10-20kts. We all know “best out of the west”. Anyone think it’s going to lay down enough?

DEFINITELY NOT enough for a 23’ Kencraft, if that is what you are going to be riding. WET, nasty, slow ride, unless the West gives you a break. Imo only.

Wednesday will be a much nicer day!

I’m just praying the weatherman is wrong, per the usual.

Congrats on being able to fish Wednesday. Must be nice!

It is nice, but it took me 63 years to get there.

After seeing what the stom had to offer today I would highly suggest not going. This coming from someone who went out in a 26’cc today.

Roger Long enuff, same here. 1988-90 I had my 50,000 dollar boat, and only used it 10-12 times a year because of work.

Now, 25 years later, I have my reward too.

This is a ‘have it now’ generation, no patience to wait for many.

What kind of $50,000 boat did you have in 1988?

SF Crew, agreed. Saturday, couldn’t find any meat fish, not even a strike. Did land our first ever marlin though in 350’. Pretty freakin awesome. Didn’t find any water warmer than 73 deg.

We stayed out there too long. Started the ride in about 12:30 from the 226 hole after the first clap of thunder. Once we got through the storm, the wind started howling. STEEP waves, one on top of another, had to have been 8’ it seemed. Took 4 hrs to get back to the jetties in the 24’ McKee Craft. Probably not the best decision to try and hit that short weather window. Oh well, we made it back safely, albeit a little wet and slightly sore.

Congrats on the marlin! The fishing was tough, I think the rough seas throughout the previous week broke up the weed lines and scattered the fish some. Glad yall made it back safe. Those winds were no joke. Gotta stop big d*cking on days like those when we are anxious to catch fish
