Anything special for the upcoming cold?

Folks, I’m a bit new to the boat owning world. This will be my first winter. I have an outboard engine. Is there anything special you all are doing to prepare for this cold snap that is coming? The plug is out on the boat, and I’ve lowered the motor to help drain out any extra water. Anything else I should do? Thanks!

Other areas that can hold water are deck drains and livewell plumbing. Blow out with low pressure air.

Oh yeah, hadn’t thought about the livewell plumbing. Thanks!

i leave mine in a slip,i got someone going down to lower the outboards,i am on the fence on what to do about the freshwater tank?,usually on the water it doesn’t get as cold but i had a camper freeze and bust hoses once, what a PIA that turned into,i can only imagine trying to re plumb a boat…
