Applications for Fishing and Boating

I figured I would give back since I have asked a bunch of questions to the members of the forum over the last few months.

here are few apps that I have found that help with boating and fishing
The first 4 are available on Android and Apple smartphones and tablets.

Navionics: GPS Navigation, it works pretty well but has limitations for actual route navigation.

EarthNC: An application that has every chart for every coast of the US. It also has GPS build in to show your position.

Wind Finder Pro: a great app for wave and wind prediction.

Marine Weather Pro by Bluefin: another great app for prediction of wind and wave height also gives you access to real time buoy and weather station data anywhere in the country.

Tide Chart free, tide prediction and tide app are tide prediction apps for android.

Tide Graph HD is a great app for tides for ipad.

Pure Gas is a great app for ipad and iphone for finding ethanol free gas near your location.

Fish Rules available for iphone and ipad is a fishing rules and regulations by state app.

I have an android phone, android tablet and an ipad. I have used all of these apps with the exception on fish rules and have been satisfied.
I am sure there are other feel to free to add to my list.

If you are a boatUS member, check the most recent email. There is a link to a free copy of Navionics for your desktop computer. Just like the smart phone app w/o gps, obviously.

Sea tow had a great app for iPhone and it’s free.

The Sea Tow is a very nice app, but it doesn’t have fishing regulations.

Check out Fish Rules for your iPhone - it has saltwater recreational regulations for state and federal waters from North Carolina through Texas!
