April 11, report Georgetown Landing Marina

With a break in the weather a few boats made the trip offshore on Saturday for some trolling. Some were chasing wahoo and some were just looking for something to eat. There were some wahoo and blackfins caught along with a couple of dolphin and a couple of sailfish.

The big surprise for the weekend was 6 yellowfin tuna on the dock Saturday afternoon! Yes, yellowfin! Not a rumor, not from last decade, no B.S., no fish from the east side of the gulfstream! South Carolina yellowfin!!!

Was it a lost school? Seems like there were a few more caught on the south end also. Maybe a comeback?!

Are you going to be the one waiting on another report or are you going to be the one making the report.
Go drag some ballyhoo on light leader with a seawitch and see if you can find some.

I said it two months ago that with water temps not getting to their normal lows, the Yellow fin catches last year (yes some happened you didn’t hear about) and the warm water going to move higher up this year, Yellows were going to be on the punch card this year. Get out early and stay late.
