Got out for a few hours on Saturday. Fished last of the outgoing and first of the incoming tides. Water clarity was good and 65 degrees. Picked up an inshore slam and the first Spanish of the year. Most of the fish came on a Z-Man Finesse TRD (The Deal or Hot Snakes) on 1/6 ounce NedLockZ jig and a StreakZ 3.75 (Blue Back Herring) on a 3/16 ounce Eye Strike Finesse jig.
Nice job! Which fishery? (Wando, Cooper, ICW, etc?). Have not run in to any flounder yet up in the upper wando (N of 41 bridge) but have on the lower end closer to D.I. and the harbor. No size yet but that’ll change. Bait is thick in the river and getting more and more prolific.
I was in the Wando on Saturday. Saw several schools of peanut menhaden. I picked up some Flounder in the upper Wando before they closed things down. Bet the bite is going off up that way now.
