go to capers. call dnr at fort Johnson and get the permit, its free. put in at IOP marina and pay the parking fee (its worth it, its closish and no one will mess with your stuff there)
you might have some company out there, but its a large enough area where you can set up camp far enough away from each other where its not going to bother you. lots of good fishing up that way
that is if you want to camp, hotel would be cheap splitting it the way you are talking about. its really your preference

Thanks for all the replies. I will have to talk to my friends and see if they want to camp or get a hotel. There will more than likely be 4 of us and I found the days inn at patriots point and it would be right at 80 a night which would only be 20 per person which is not bad at all. I’ll have to talk to them and see what they want to do. Do most of the hotels allow boats in the parking lots? I know the days inn says it has bus parking but would they allow boats?

The Days Inn you mentioned does allow boats in the parking lot. I stayed there one night last June and there were several boats parked there for a tournament the next day. I’d ask them just the same.
If you’re lucky enough to be fishing, you’re lucky enough.
I just got good news as far as the trip goes today. My grandparents have a timeshare in a condo in wild dunes and they have it the week of April 4-11. So now we have somewhere to stay and we can leave the boat at the IOP marina like we did last summer.

Since we know where we are staying now. Wouldn’t be worth it to go out and fish around the harbor and maybe up into the cooper and wando or would be better off to just stay around IOP and Sullivan’s?
