I saw a post in another section of the forum asking about keeping a fishing log, and it made me wonder if there were salt water fishing apps for this purpose. A good one would provide tips for general locations and conditions, as well as allow for users to mark way points, methods, successes/failures, etc. I have seen an app called My Fishing Advisor, but it is designed for freshwater only, and I really have no idea how useful it is, so this is not a plug. Just curious if anything exists for salt water fishing.
I use one called Fish logger pro on the Android system. It is a paid app, But for me it is worth the money. Takes a little while to get it all set up, but then it is easy to log all the info on your catches, including waypoints, baits used ect. You can also export your data to your home computer and use it with Google Earth.
Check out the app called “Fish Rules” It gives you all the regulations for the area you are fishing and you can also keep your own log and keep notes. You can click on a species and add the # caught in your log. Pretty good app.
