Has anyone had any luck with any of the artificial fiddler crabs on the market today for working reds on the shallows? If so, what type of retrieve are you using? Thanks.
Been using Zman , With good success, slow retrieve walking it like a crab with lots of pauses.

I was always a fan of the D.O.A. crab. But lately have been throwing the Savage TPE crab. Put some Pro Cure on it and call it a day. Probably the most realistic crab on the market. Just drag across the bottom. Works great on sheeps too.

who carries the Savage TPE Crabs in Charleston?
Thanks gentlemen!
Also, how are you rigging it on a drop shot with a weightless hook, jighead, etc?
Thanks again.

I bought mine at PSA when they ran a seminar a couple months back.

It comes with a jighead designed specifically for the crab. The hook is a little light for a big red. So you can change it out with a good bait hook and a 1/4oz split shot.
For sheeps, just rig like a normal drop shot and fish vertically.
