Ashely river Menhaden

While heading out on Sunday we saw a enormous school of menhaden up stream of North Bridge. Two throws later we had the bait well full. Ive never really messed with trying to catch them but I have to admit they seem like redfish candy. My question is are they just alway there and we don’t notice them or is it just season, tide etc.

17’ Mako

Here there and everywhere when the water warms up. Plenty around currently

Hard to keep alive so when fishing on the bottom cut off head and tail. The tail makes them spin in the current. More scent when the head is removed.
