Ashley River 9/20

Well, I’m finally starting to figure out this river, though it has taken a couple of months. Was cruising up and down the banks looking for blowups and saw a ton of bait in the water at this one creek mouth. Started throwing out live shrimp on the bottom and MMs on corks. They weren’t really interested in the minnows but there was an hour window where I couldn’t even keep up with the rods. Multiple specs and a few flatties as well. Still looking for my first Ashley River red. Many thanks to Optiker and Al8995 for the advice on where to look. Al I will trade you my incoming tide knowledge for your outgoing if you’re up for it!

Where did you put in? I always fish the Ashley but it’s to brackish, any suggestions where I can catch trout flounder reds and other

Awesome! Glad you got on some, with the water cooling the fish are hungry.

Replied, thank you very much.

Glad to see you doing well. Lol I don’t have any outgoing tide advice, I only fish the upper ashley on the rising tide because I can’t catch fish out of there any other time for some reason.
