Ashley River 9/3

Grabbed some mud minnows out of the trap this morning and headed to the mud flats in the Ashley at high tide. Trolled along, fighting a few white-caps and ended the 2 hour trip with a solo flounder. (13") Legal, but returned to the water to grow a little larger.
Used a carolina rig, and was bumpin’ along. They might be more hungry as the water temp falls.

Manolin,
Good thing you let it go, flounder have to be 14" now.

im goin back to the stono.i caught a few nice fish in the ashley, but for me it just dont add up.i caught some decent trout,1 very nice flounder, and 1 nice red in about 4 or 5 trips.ive caught that in 1 day on the stono many times.im sure i dont know the good spots either though.the ones ive heard about i cant paddle to.i did have one pretty good day along side those docks down from county farm landing.got in to some trout.for me…ill take limehouse/stono.
