I moved to Charleston back in Janurary and follow this site, but this my first post.
Yesterday while shrimping with bait, we pulled in a small 6in and 7 lbs blue catfish in the net. I’m sure with all the rain that the salinity in the water is down, but is it normal for cats to be that far down river? We were right near the Northbridge.
Got a half cooler of shrimps too!

Yep caught this one last fall in the Ashley next to Dolphin Cove marina. I ate it. Still alive, so far. And yeah, I’m pushing her, so there’s another one for better reference.
