I have recently dry stacked my boat at the Rivers Edge Marina. Not being familiar with the Ashley I’d appreciate any thoughts on fishing spots on that river. Thanks.
HAD GOOD LUCK RIGHT AT THE BRIDGE FOR REDS ( MOSTLY OVER SLOT ) , ALSO REDS AND SPECKS ALONG DOCKS AND GRASS LINE UP TO THE RR TRESSEL… DON’T BE SURPRISED WHEN YOU CATCH SOME LARGE BLUE CATS IFFN YOU DROWN CUT BAIT IN THE DEEPER HOLES MID CHANNEL… POST HOW YA DO!!!
GOOD LUCK !!!

Plenty of good spots on the Ashley…the only problem is that they are all well known and usually overfished. Mouth of Orange Grove creek for trout. Across from the Citadel there’s a small creek mouth that feeds into the Ashley. I’ve caught nice reds at the mouth on outgoing tide. Just south of the Northbridge, there’s some old pilings that hold reds and black drum. That should keep you busy for awhile!!
SEA TONIC ;; YOU EVER FISH WAAAAAY UP THE ASHLEY NEAR THE JENSEN LANDING ???
I’VE ONLY FISHED MAYBE A MILE NORTH OF THE TRESSEL AND SEEMED LIKE I COULDN’T GET AWAY FROM THE CATS WHILE DROWNING CUT BAIT , I CAN CATCH CATS HERE AT HOME BUT I ALSO LIKE THE AREA CLOSE TO THE LEEDS LANDING , ANY SUGGUESTIONS FURTHER UP OR JUST STAY CLOSER TO THE SALT ???

Thanks for your response. I’ll post any successes I have.

Spent several hours exploring the Ashley yesterday. Hooked 4 nice trout on Bull Creek all released to fight again. With a high tide was able to easily explore lots of creeks and not worry about getting stuck in the mud.
Thanks for all the suggestions.
