My son and I fish the Ashley from a dock behind our neighborhood. We’re up off of Dorchester Rd. near the air force base. I know people are catching catfish and gar but we’re not having any kind of luck. We fish the bottom generally using shrimp. We love to go but it would be much nicer to catch a fish now and again…any tips??? Thanks!
use something with more stink. try cut mullet and see if your luck changes.

frozen mullet is available at almost any local bait shop, including Charleston Marine on Rivers Ave. Or you can throw a cast net and catch them fresh.
