Some of you know my wife passed away in April and had been sick for a long time. I had not been fishing since last October. I hooked the boat up several times but couldn’t bring myself to go until Tuesday morning. Almost high tide at first light and the trout were very cooperative. In two hours I caught well over twenty nice keeper sized trout and finished with a 30" red. Released all. ElaZtech trout tricks in various colors but the one thing that really stood out was that Pro-Cure Shrimp scent was like magic and without it the strikes were few and far between. I never have had such an obvious difference.
Nice to hear you’re back on the water!!
Thanks for the report!
This is the best news I’ve heard all week!
I’m glad you were able to get back on the water. That’s a peaceful environment for reflection.
God bless.
Thanks for the nice comments. For those of you who are married you may understand. When I went fishing I was used to my wife calling to ask how I was doing and used to coming home and telling her about my trip. I went at least once a week, often more. After she died I just didn’t feel like going. I must have hooked the boat up to the truck half a dozen times and couldn’t bring myself to go so this was a big step moving forward for me.
I’m so glad you’re getting out on the water again. My father in law was my fishing partner for over twenty five years. After he passed away it took me quite a while before I could go fishing with him gone. Just didn’t “feel” right without him in the boat.
I joined a fishing club and that helped me tremendously. Made a lot of good friends. Even though I’m no longer in that club the friendships are still there. Good luck in the future my friend.
That’s awesome mdl. Glad you got out there and hopefully it gave you some peace doing so too. The fish sure rewarded you. Great day!
Praying that you find the strength to continue to fish and find a new normal with someone that can help you get there!
I love that Pro-cure! It definitely makes a deference. Be sure to wear old clothes when using it. It will stain big time!
