Anyone on here use avet reels? What are your thoughts on them? Work well? Worth the money?

I have not used them but I have talked to someone who very knowable and is local and he stated that they are not bad reels but some of them have water intrusion issues. I just a Shimano guy when it come to my reels not bashing just passing along what I heard.

They are great reels. Just depends on if you want get American made or not. I have 2 hxw 4.2s.

I use 4 of the HXW 4.2 for trolling and love them. I do my own maintenance and strip them down to parade rest for cleaning and lubing every season. My only complaint, I wish the clicker was a little louder.

They are great reels, I have sold more than I have used. But the ones I have used have been great. Them being Made in a America is a huge selling point of these reels.
I don’t think they are as smooth as some of the Shimano and Penn reels, but that is due to how the gears are cut in the reels.
The only ones I have ever seen issues with are ones that have been used beach front or been submerged.

We use the raptors paired with trevala jigging rods and love them. Very compact and lots of power. We troll with shimano.
