^^^^Last Sat DNR came down and cleared that landing of all the fisher people…
I guess it was a pleasant place to launch last Saturday… Unfortunately, they will be back, in greater numbers… DNR needs to put up signs that either read “No Fishing” or, “Boaters Have Rightaway”, then explain in simple terms what that means…

I called DNR once about the Leeds Ave ramp and was told that I needed to call North Charleston Parks and Recreation. There was so many people on one of the floaters you couldn’t get on it. They were camping out and taking turns with a couple of jet ski’s. Had coolers, chairs, towels and all kind of water toys. They stayed until some guy pulled a Russ. Trimmed up his motor and started spraying the tanners.
My wife (The Warden) and I were talking about that crazy girl yesterday and we think we’ve come up with a solution the Town needs to make at the ramp:
They need to make a kayak/paddle board launch over by the storm pipe. It’s deep enough for a paddle board or kayak, but not really deep enough for a boat. And it should be exclusive for paddlers or kayakers. Give them a nice walk and ramp to a small floating dock.
Everyone can then sing Kum-ba-ya.
The Warden talked to one of our friends that does project works for the Town of Mt.P and he said that the ramp does not belong to Mt.P, it belongs to the county.
Someone with influence with the county parks and recreation would have to get this done. It’d be nice if they took a few dollars from the Christmas light show or water park to fund this kind of project, but I’m sorely diappointed.
