If any of you can make it to the Awendaw Town Hall tomorrow at 3PM, you ought to go meet up with a fellow sportsman. Stephen is a friend of mine and is ready to help us out if he gets enough of your help for his statehouse run. He is a member of this forum and others, and I’ve known him for a few years.
He is announcing that he’s running for the seat tomorrow morning.

GEORGETOWN- Georgetown County Republican Party Chairman Jim Jerow announced today that there will be a state House District 108 candidacy announcement Wednesday, October 26th in both Murrells Inlet and Awendaw.
The announcement in Murrells Inlet will be at 10:30 am at Inlet Affairs, located at 4024 Business Highway 17, across from Drunken Jack’s restaurant.
The announcement in Awendaw will be at 3 pm at the Awendaw Town Hall, located at 6971 Doar Road.
The public is welcome to attend.
The newly approved House District 108 lines take in portions of Georgetown and Charleston counties, running south through the Waccamaw Neck and areas immediately surrounding the City of Georgetown, south to McClellanville, Awendaw, and portions of Mt. Pleasant.
Thanks Wes!
Yep, we’re announcing tomorrow at 10:30 AM at Inlet Affairs in Murrells inlet and at 3:00 PM at Awendaw Town Hall. Anyone and everyone is welcome to attend both events. We planned on two announcements, one on the north end and one on the south end of the district to give everyone a chance at attending. I hope you guys will come out. Looking forward to meeting and greeting with all of you.
Went very well. Had nearly 120 people show up at he announcements. We’ve got great support but really need the support of the fishing and spearing community. Contact me via email if you’d like to get involved or contribute. www.sc4goldfinch.com
Rep. McCoy also is a member of CF.com and offshore fishes.
Looking forward to more sportsmen and sportswomen in positions of leadership to help make a difference in getting Congress to more fully understand how the sportfishing industry and community is hurting from the federal overregulation.
