Awesome 2 Tournament days. Close but...

Not quite. Caleb and I had two fantastic days of fishing during the Lowcountry Redfish Cup championship Friday and Saturday. The fish bit as well for us as any two back-to-back days this year. We were able to catch over 125 fish in 2 days with a variety of techniques but came up just short. Congratulations to Team Flats Broke- Cole/Chappell on the win with a very impressive 2-day total of 19.8 lbs to win a fully rigged 18’ ShallowSport flats skiff. Thanks to Fred Bricketto, Neil Kendrick, Brian Rose, Bruce Draper, Chuck Lather, Southern Drawl Outfitters, and all the rest for putting on such a well organized, fun tournament circuit this year. Those that have not participated but like the competitive aspect of fishing should definitely come out and give it a shot next year. The sharing of ideas and techniques with the other anglers alone makes it a worthwhile experience no matter how you finish.

Congrats team flats broke! Raddaddy, that 21 incher y’all had was an absolute pig. Congrats on coming close.

It was literally a 1 in a million fish with a formerly broken back. It’s amazing out of the 20 or so 22.75"-22.99" we caught, he had the most weight out of all of them at only 21".

Congrats to team Flatsbroke! Those guys have consistently weighed good fish over the last couple of years. Ron and Caleb scored a very close second place. That fish that Caleb caught was just freaky looking! Nice to see a father and son team! Spend all the time you can with your children, they grow up fast. See you in February!
