I’m getting married down in Costa next February and the sailfishing that time of year played a part in picking Costa. We are looking at Quepos/Manuel Antonio area and was wondering if had any recommendations on a boat that we could charter. Thanks in advance.

Check Capt. Jason Coffrin on Mr Trigger in Quepos. http://flamingo-fishing.com/

Have you checked out the Los Suenos resort? A little north of Quepos and a little nicer It is great, and the price isn’t bad. It would be fantastic for your new bride and yourself. Amenities are sweet and the fishing is off the chain. The last time I was there we caught 23 sailfish, 3 marlin, a few wahoo, and a bunch of tuna, all in the same day, in the off season :sunglasses:

This is who we book with, and they catch fish:smiley: I’m sure there are other good ones too. http://www.costaricadreams.com/

Oh BTW, the Beetle Bar in Jaco would be a great place for a bachelor party:clown_face: But you might not want to take your bride if she doesn’t have a very open mind

Yes you can, I took mine :smiley: Once[:I] It was interesting, to say the least, but she’s a good sport. I wouldn’t take a new bride, but we’ve been married 30 years:sunglasses:

I need to know where the sound track came from. Those are some solid fishin’ tunes…

Do not tell fish stories where the people know you; but particularly, don’t tell them where they know the fish.

Thanks for the video.
Highly recommend Los Suenos. Fished two days out of there two years ago on The Bite. Best crew I’ve ever had the pleasure of fishing with. Lots of sails, dorado and tuna, and a 350 lb. blue marlin.
Golf course is nice, too. Rented a condo. Pretty good price. All in all, a great place.

Thanks - enjoyed every minute of it. The tunes are Capt. Sam Crutchfield. He has 2 CDs out that are required listening if I am at the helm! I think you can find them for sale still on the Internet.

Thanks for the info on the CD, heard some of these songs on the radio in CR years ago and loved them and never could find out anything about them I ordered some today
