B B / pellet guns

Since .22lr hasn’t come readily available yet, I’m going to get a BB gun for rodents and not in a hurry.

I’ve seen one (Benjamin Trail Nitro)that uses a Nitrogen cell instead of a spring. Has anyone used one? Son picked up a Gamo, it’s not bad using good pellets, but is still a little noisy. Best grouping we’ve had with it was 1 1/2" @ 20 yards spreading out to 4" using BB’s. Would like to get something a little better…

Anyone recommend anything?

Hey Fred, given any thought to the Ruger I have for sale? Pm if you like. Matt

Got a message on the .357 I may pursue a whole different line. Very costly but one bad rascal.

I’ve already figured to keep it quit I’ll have to keep it under 1000fps and then I’ll want some knock down behind it. Still a lot of figuring to do. :sunglasses: More options out there than I imagined.

If you go with a break barrel, you want to get the gas (nitro) rather than the spring… I have a remington nitro and it really does the job. When using the alloy pellets, it sounds like a .22lr… the squirrels around the house that chew up everything in site…
