Hi All,
It’s probably been discussed before, but what are the regs for babies and boats… I know yall have a few of the little critters out on the water…
I looked at the DNR site and the best I can figure is that the baby (2mo old Mr Jack) has to be in a USCG approved lifevest while under way on a boat over 16ft and all the time on a boat under 16 feet…
He’s not terribly uncomfortable in his lifevest, but is much more comfortable at anchor in his car seat… Am I correct in thinking that that is legal ??
On our sailboat, he always stays down below, and if he’s in the cockpit he has his vest on… I’ve been told that that’s correct…
I know all about the shade/sunblock/hats etc…
He does like to take a dip in the water at the sandbar with his vest on !!
So does anyone know if i’m right ?? or wrong ??
