Babyback Ribs

Anyone know of a butcher shop or market in the Charleston that sells true baby back ribs? The usual suspect grocery stores don’t carry them. Thanks

Costco had back ribs and spare ribs last week

Yea, I have had those. Thanks. I enjoy them, but the wife likes the baby backs. They have less fat content.

Sam’s usually has some nice BB ribs. I have never had a bad rack from there yet.

Have you tried New York Butcher Shoppe in Mt. P?

I’ll check them out. Thanks

I see back ribs all over. What do you consider a true baby back?

They are usually shorter in width and less fatty. They don’t have as much of the strap on top of the bone.

There is also a new butcher shop on Maybank just opened…i dont remember what its called but its on the right just after JBs smokehouse.

Yep…I don’t usually have an issue seeing back ribs just like you describe (they are, after all, back ribs).

But that’s probably because I never want to buy them. If I did, I’d likely not see them either.

Trader Joes had baby backs for $4.99 a pound. Good quality and price.
