Just got back from a 4 day fishing trip to xcalak mexico. Had a great time working on the bones.
Did get one shot at a pair of tailing permit. Just about pi$$ed myself, but I made a good cast and got a follow. No take.
Used a 7wt and an 8wt. Love using the 7 on the bones, but there was a CONSTANT 15kt wind so if I was fishing straight into the wind I had to go to the 8.
Between us we landed close to 25 bones and lost about the same. Enjoy the shot of flyfishnut’s cuda in midair.
One word: AWESOME. The barry midair is a very cool shot. You really have me stewing for some bones.
