Back on the water FINALLY

Well I hit Hartwell this afternoon after the rain, first time I have had my boat in the water in 2 months. I had been having problems with my suzuki all winter/spring and it was finally diagnosed as terminal so I repowered with a new Yamaha 200 4 stroke.

I only spent about 2 hours on the water dragging leadcore in the main channel and did not mark any fish or have a bite but man that 4 stroke sure is quite and nice for trolling.

Looking forward to heading back out on Friday

T,

With all that hardware hanging off the stern, do we have to call you Mr. Tprice now??

tprice , if you need some company trying for a bite , shoot me an email , I would like to hear a 4 stroker run and tell some fishing stories .
It sounds like you have a nice setup .

I will shoot you an email, I hope to try and fish on Friday/Sat’s for the next few weeks when my schedule allows. I will be pulling leadcore line around the dam.

Just let me know how you schedule looks, I normally fish till about 10 or 11 am

Sounds good tprice , I can’t this Friday for sure , but Sat would work . I have a rush job this week but most of the time I can take off anytime . Working for yourself has a few advantages , I think the leadcore I have is only 75 yards , but I have a rig that will get down there without it . I need to show it to you . Looking forward to it .

I am tied up this Sat and will probably try Friday am as long as work can hold it’s own and I do not have to go in.

I am sure I will be on the water the next Friday also, Saturday’s can be a PITA due to all the boats in one area.

I will keep in touch, I am by far NO EXPERT but have fished with a couple that are with leadcore and I can show you what I know.

I have 3 or 4 reels spooled with LC so that is not a problem as well as 1 downrigger, heck last year we even setup the outriggers to pull lines as well but it was almost too much work when you got into the trees.

I will post a report Friday after I get finished and we can go from there

Sounds good price , I might just go ahead and work this Sat. to get that job done .

I’ll ask some of my buddies and see what is happening . The past summers I would fish during the the week at night using shrimp and fishing it like a plastic worm on the bottom , some night we would catch close to 50 other nights only a bite or two . We would usually leave before 12 . I went 2 times this year and didn’t catch anything but a couple of largemouth before dark . I completely missed the spring run this year , it’s great daytime fishing all day long on cloudy days . There’s a place to catch bait in the daytime up near Clemson in the spring.

I understand about the trees , that’s where the fish usually are this time of year , but it is a pain using a spread .

I’ll keep a watch here for you , Good luck Friday .
