Back to the salt...

Ralph and I have been doing a fair amount of freshwater fishing recently, and in the last week we made separate trips back to the saltwater. We both found the catching to be surprisingly good - we each had inshore slams, and 20 ish trout.

I’m feeling really encouraged by the trout bite and hope that we all continue to catch and release them throughout the major spawning months so that they will rebound fully as fast as possible.

I have a new blog post with more info and pics here.

FYI, in the blog is a link to a documentary featuring our own RADDADDY (Ron Davis, Jr). If you never heard his story, you might be surprised and inspired. He is a giant in our industry and is someone to listen to when he talks.

Thanks, Dave

I love the scars these jigs get when the large mouth tear them up.

As usual, thank you for the report. Great story about Raddaddy and his Father, just awesome to hear the success of people like them. Hope Strike Eye headed down the same path!

Thanks for the report, Optiker. And hats-off to Rad and his father as well. Good stuff all around.

“I’m not a hundred percent in love with your tone right now…”

One of these days i'm gonna hire Ron so i can just fish and enjoy the trip instead of trailering 200miles ....Ron and i have chatted a time or two here on cf and he has never led me astray. Never asked him for locations to hot spots but the info he provided led me to a few of my own... He stands tall in his trade and i call him a friend I never met...
